Seychelles is probably one the world’s best hidden secret. It is located just northeast of Madagascar. It is a beautiful coral island filled with gorgeous granite rock formations, white sand beaches that are soft as powder, turquoise clear water, lush, vibrant forests and Creole heritage.
Seychelles is the home of some of the biggest tortoises on the planet! You can get up close and personal with them on Curieuse Island at Marine National Park and even feed them. There are many unique things to see there, including the Coco de Mer, mangrove forests, Aldabra tortoises, takamaka trees, hawksbill and green sea turtle breeding ground and the Seychelles Black Parrot. There are also walking trails going from one side of the island to the other. The scenery on this trail is absolutely breath taking! Excursions can be arranged from any other island in the Seychelles. Park rangers also offer complimentary, guided hiking tours around the island that are available twice a day. On this tour visitors will see the mangrove forests, degraded land from fire and the 2004 tsunami, viewpoints, swamps and some of the most beautiful beaches in the Seychelles.
