Niche Cruise: Not a well kept secret

5/18/2017

Comments

Niche cruises sound like an idea crafted for a very selected demographic of people, but that could not be further from the truth. A traditional cruise brings to light the idea that visitors need to carry perfectly-folded leisurewear, the proper white deck shoes, and a sense that you are surrounded by 2,500 or more people who have as little clue as you have about what is the proper behavior. There are no over the top casinos or endless captain’s dinner either.

Niche cruises are small, pleasant cruises that contain enough luxury to make you feel like you are on your own private ship.

Having the sensation, you have your own private ship is neat, but that sensation can quickly fade away. The ocean cruise liner doesn’t give you the option to visit those remote places that were reserved for merchant sailors, explorers or pioneers. And that is really where niche cruisers excel. They offer more than a plethora of souvenirs; they offer countless experiences and memories. When you travel on a niche cruise, you are part of a true sea voyage.

The destinations on this type of cruise can sometimes overlap with the popular destinations, but do not expect that to be standard. These ships offer the chance to visit small ports and sail through tiny inlets that larger ships cannot venture. The casual atmosphere of the ship, allows you to sit back and appreciate the wonders that only the very few tend to see.

If watching the never ending wonders that this planet has to offer a company like Scenic will cater to your taste. Scenic Luxury River Cruises & Tours offer magnificent scenic cruises that sail at or under 20 knots, allowing you to spend the early morning watching the birds, before leaning against the rail and admire the views that will constantly surround you. Your fellow passengers will also be interested in the sights, history, botany, or even archeology of the places you are visiting.

That makes the experience more casual and relaxed. Furthermore if you love the views, but not the ocean, their river cruises offer the same luxury as their oceanic counterparts. From sailing through the Seine River to the astounding Rhine, you will appreciate the history and beauty that is only reserved for locals. Their river cruises are not exclusively for European places. Scenic offers a luxury cruise in Myanmar that will leave you as breathless and as pampered as their European counterparts.

If the sea is truly your calling and you want to have first-hand knowledge from the Smithsonian, then Regent Seven Sea Cruises is worth considering when looking at nice cruises. It offers the same level of luxury and comfort as having a private yacht. At the end of the day, a niche cruise combines the luxury of a 5 stars hotel, with the knowledge and stunning views that used to be seen by the lucky few. Thusly, it is an experience that should be tried more than once in a lifetime.
